Radio Spectrum on the front foot for Cricket World Cup

RSM has been supporting the Women’s Cricket World Cup behind the scenes, helping organisers and broadcasters prevent and quickly resolve radio interference issues.

The Women’s ICC Cricket World Cup is currently under way at venues across NZ. The event is showcasing the world’s best female cricket players to millions across the globe. While a day at the cricket may sound like a relaxing time for many, the RSM team has been busy working with the event organisers and broadcasters behind the scenes to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

As well as assisting in the pre-planning stage, Radio Investigators have been involved at each venue to help resolve radio interference issues that might arise. At the halfway point through the event only minor issues have been noted, such as spread spectrum camera control emissions operating outside of General User Licence spectrum limits. However this was easily identified and resolved early in the event.
