New Radio Spectrum Investigator for Christchurch region
Dylan Amyes appointed as a new Radio Investigator for the Christchurch region.
We’re pleased to welcome Dylan Amyes as our new Radio Investigator for the Christchurch region.
Dylan joins Radio Spectrum Management (RSM) with a career built around communications, technology, and problem solving in real world environments. He began his journey with the New Zealand Army, where he worked hands on with radio and electronic equipment used for operational communications, and later helped train new technicians entering the field.
From there, Dylan took his skills to National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (NIWA, now Earth Science New Zealand), supporting scientific research and vessel operations. His work involved installing and maintaining communication and monitoring equipment, often in complex and demanding conditions, including at sea.
He later worked with the New Zealand Police, providing technical support for communications and security systems that underpin frontline and investigative work.
This blend of operational, scientific, and investigative experience brings valuable perspective to RSM’s work in the Christchurch region. We are pleased to have Dylan on board and look forward to the contribution he will make to supporting the safe and fair use of radio spectrum.
