Call for expressions of interest for FM sound broadcasting spectrum licence
Radio Spectrum Management (RSM) is seeking expressions of interest by 5pm 4 May 2026 for a commercial FM sound broadcasting spectrum licence in the Ruapehu District.
An application has been received for the following FM sound broadcasting spectrum licence:
- RMWONU – OHURA (Ruapehu District) 105.5 MHz, licence ID 432155, reserve price: $1,150 incl. GST

How to express interest in the licence
- Expressions of interest in this commercial FM licence must be made by 5pm on 4 May 2026.
- Interested parties should email their interest to the Crown Spectrum Asset Manager via crownspectrum@mbie.govt.nz
- Decisions will be made to determine if the licences can be allocated by:
- direct sale, or
- a competitive allocation process.
