Discard a spectrum transfer form

You can discard a spectrum transfer Form 9 'Notice of transfer of spectrum licence' in the Register of Radio Frequencies (RRF).

What you need to know

When you discard a spectrum licence transfer Form 9, you are discarding an 'incomplete' form in the Register of Radio Frequencies (RRF).

Only the Rightholder of the licence in the Management Right can discard a Form 9.

Discarding a licence transfer occurs when you no longer want to action the transfer. If no action is taken, an incomplete Form 9 will automatically discard after 1 month.


  1. Log on to the Register of Radio Frequencies(external link) (RRF) using your username and password.
  2. Select Manage Licences > Spectrum Licence Forms > Transfer Spectrum Licence menu. The Search Licence to Transfer screen displays.
  3. Select the radio button next to the licence you want to discard, then click [Select]. This opens the Form 9 (incomplete) screen.
    Note: You can only select once licence at a time to discard. If you go past this screen, you won't be able to discard the form.
  4. Select Discard Form. You'll get a pop-up box asking if you want to discard the transfer. Select OK to completely remove the Form 9 from the system. You'll be returned to the home page of the RRF.
