Spectrum outlook and annual reports
An overview of our activities and upcoming work plans.
On this page
Our Five year Spectrum Outlook provides an overview of our recent activities, discusses emerging developments in wireless communications, and reports on international spectrum decisions relevant to New Zealand. It also provides an indicative work programme for 2017-2021.
International decisions on spectrum allocations
Spectrum allocations are internationally governed and negotiated through a consensus-based regime driven by the Member States of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
The Spectrum Outlook considers the outcomes of international decisions on spectrum allocations from the 2015 ITU World Radiocommunication Conference 2015. It also explores proposed spectrum allocations relevant to New Zealand for the Treaty-making Conference in 2019 (WRC-19).
