Modify a radio licence

A step-by-step guide for approved radio engineers and certifiers (AREs and ARCs) to modify, craft, certify and confirm an existing radio licence in the Register of Radio Frequencies.

This guide shows Approved Radio Engineers and Certifiers (ARE & ARC) how to modify a radio licence in the Register of Radio Frequencies (RRF) for the following licence types:

  • Fixed point-to-point-to multipoint bi-directional
  • Fixed point-to-point bi-directional
  • Land mobile simplex
  • Land mobile repeater
  • Maritime
  • Aeronautical

Any type of modification can be completed, for example:

  • changing a channel
  • adding an associated licence to a fixed point-to-multipoint bi-directional licence
  • deleting or updating a fixed point-to-multipoint bi-directional licence, or updating an associated licence.

When you modify a radio licence you create an application, modify the details, certify then confirm and submit for approval or granting. You are advised of the outcome by email.
