Retirement for two RSM Compliance team members

[image] Chris Brennan and Paul PatersonTwo of the Radio Spectrum Management Compliance team’s longer serving members retire on 23 December 2016.

Paul Paterson and Chris Brennan joined the Post Office Radio Inspection branch at the beginning of 1971 and 1972 respectively. Their work in spectrum management continued from the NZ Post Office, through the Department of Trade & Industry, Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Economic Development to the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment. The continual evolution of radio technologies, new challenges in protecting the spectrum, and the interesting people they met have been credited for retaining their enthusiasm for their work.

Both Chris and Paul have now decided it's time to pursue family and personal interests.

A new contact for those who have been dealing with Paul will be Mervyn Frericks (mervyn.frericks@mbie.govt.nz), based in the Wellington RSM office.

Fadia Mudafar (fadia.mudafar@mbie.govt.nz) based in the Auckland RSM office will be the new contact for those previously dealing with Chris.
