Improved Radio Spectrum Management website launched

Welcome to the refreshed Radio Spectrum Management (RSM) website.

We hope you enjoy the enhanced navigation, search function, and convenient web services. The Register of Radio Frequencies is still available.

The refreshed site features:

  • a Licensing section including types of licences, how to apply/modify/cancel your licence, list of engineers & examiners, radio operator certificates & callsigns, licence fees, and information for ARE/ARC/ARX
  • a Compliance Requirements area including licence requirements, supplier requirements and prohibited equipment
  • a Projects & Auctions area for consultations, projects RSM are working on and spectrum auctions
  • a Consumers & Users section advising on what is interference, buying products from overseas, travelers tips, prohibited equipment for consumers, frequencies anyone can use, radio engineers & certifiers available for public work
  • an Online Services & Resources section where you can find the Register of Radio Frequencies (the Register), Spectrum Search Lite, Register user guides, forms, publications and frequently asked questions
  • an About RSM section including who is RSM, news & updates, spectrum policy, international relations and arrangements with other countries.

While none of these changes affect SMART (Register of Radio Frequencies), the register will now only be referred to as the Register of Radio Frequencies (the Register), and have the new short link www.rsm.govt.nz/the-register.

You will need to re-bookmark or re-save your favourite pages on the refreshed website. Previous links will no longer work, so if your site links to ours, please edit or re-link to the pages on the refreshed RSM website.

We will continue to roll out refinements to the RSM website. This will enable us to incorporate client feedback wherever possible. We will let you know about any major changes or improvements.

Please contact us if you have any questions about our refreshed website.
