Mobile service bands in New Zealand (PIB 23) is a convenient reference of the bands used in VHF and UHF mobile services. It gives details of frequencies, channels and band plans for land mobile, VHF maritime mobile, aeronautical mobile and other mobile services.

The inclusion of a band plan, or a particular channel in any band plan, does not necessarily mean that the band or channel is available for licensing. This document is intended for use by persons who engineer and certify licences, and should be read in conjunction with the Radio Licence Policy Rules (PIB 58) and the Radio Licence Certification Rules (PIB 38).
