Modify spectrum details (power, emission, or polarisation) to a fixed point to multipoint bi-directional licence

Overview

This process tells approved radio engineers and certifiers how to modify the Spectrum Details (power, emission, or polarisation) of a Fixed Point-to-multipoint Bi-directional licence.

Follow the steps below to complete the process.


Step by step guide

Step 1

Create a licence application to modify spectrum details on the primary licence of the Fixed Point-to-multipoint Bi-directional system.

You can only select the primary licence record to modify.


 

Step 3

Complete the necessary create licence application steps then go to Step 4 below.

Step 4

Select Copy Licence to copy the existing licence into the modify licence application.

Step 5

  • To modify the Spectrum Details on the primary licence click on the reference frequency hyperlink shown in the screen below.
  • To modify the Spectrum Details on an associated licence go to Step 7.

Step 6

To modify:

  1. Polarisation then select a new value from the dropdown list.
  2. Power dBW (eirp) or Emission click the reference frequency hyperlink to go to the Maintain Reference Frequency

Step 7

  • To modify the Spectrum Details on an associated licence untick the applicable Retain tick box
  • Click Validate Data which will then recreate the associated licence to modify.

If you are modifying the spectrum details on more than one associated licence then untick all applicable Retain tick boxes before clicking Validate Data.


 

Step 8

Click on the hyperlink of the recreated associated licence.

A recreated associated licence will not have a Licence No. and the Retain tick box will not be ticked.


 

Step 9

Update the default Spectrum, Transmit Location, and Receive Location details on the associated licence.

Step 10

Click Back to return to the Primary licence.

Repeat Steps 8 to 10 to update any other recreated associated licences if Spectrum Details require modifying.


 

Step 11

Click the Retain checkbox of the new and updated associated licence/s then click Continue.

Step 12

Certify the licence(s) by following the Enter Decision procedure.


 

Step 13

Confirm licence by following the Confirm licence procedure.
