Reconcile your licences before creating an invoice
Notifications that your licence fees are due for renewal are sent on a monthly basis. This is an opportune time to reconcile whether there are any licences you no longer require before payment.
- After you logon to SMART and select Pay Annual Licence Fees, the Licence Renewal Search screen lists your licences that are due. At this point you have the opportunity to cancel any radio licences first, before renewing the remainder.
|Note - You can cancel your radio licences from either the Licence Renewal Search screen as below or via the Manage Licences / Cancel Radio Licence menu.|
|Note – Spectrum Licences cannot be cancelled from this screen – please see the How do I Cancel a licence page for information on cancelling spectrum licences.|
- Select the licences above you wish to cancel, and then select Continue:
- Select Cancel Licences.
- Only after the unwanted licences are cancelled should you renew the remainder that are due. You can Select All to select all the remaining licences due for renewal or select any number individually. Then select Continue to show a summary of the licences selected then Continue again to show the Fee Payment screen.
At this point you can create an invoice prior to payment if required – the invoice will only contain the licences you wish to renew.
If instead, you created an invoice before determining that there were unwanted licences, the invoice must be paid in full before any licences are cancelled - the invoice cannot be part-paid.
