Recent outages and upcoming work to improve service stability

The Ministry of Economic Development has recently suffered a number of website outages. We apologise unreservedly for any inconvenience you experienced as a result.
To minimise the risk of future outages, we are replacing the equipment that houses our websites and business registries. The new equipment will give our web services increased reliability and stability and, in the unlikely event of another outage, will allow us to restore services much faster.
Planned outages
Wednesday 9 November 2011
In order to install this new equipment, it is necessary for us to take our search services offline for a maximum of two hours on Wednesday 9 November from 7pm NZDT. This outage will only affect search services on the Register of Radio Frequencies website (SMART).
Saturday 12 November 2011
This website includingthe Register of Radio Frequencies website (SMART) will be taken offline from 4:00pm NZDT, Saturday 12 November until 9:00am NZDT, Sunday 13 November.
Again, we apologise for the inconvenience experienced as a result of these outages and appreciate your patience while we work to restore the reliability of our services for our clients.
