Radio Licence Certification Rules (PIB 38) updated

The Radio Licence Certification Rules Public Information Brochure (PIB 38) specifies the rules that Approved Radio Engineers and Certifiers (AREs and ARCs) must follow for the certification of radio licences in the radio licensing bands.

The Ministry has recently revised PIB 38 and in July 2010 a draft update was published for public comment and feedback. The Ministry has received valuable feedback through the consultation process and has used this material in the update of PIB 38 (Issue 7).

PIB 38 (Issue 7) is now available. From 7 December 2010, certification of all licences in radio licensing bands is to be completed in accordance with this document.
