Proposed power increase for short range devices in the 9 - 190 kHz band concluded

On 31 October 2011 the Ministry published a ‘Proposed power increase for short range devices in the 9 - 190 kHz band’ aiming to harmonise with our trading partners and take advantage of greater equipment availability and economies of scale for short range devices.
The Ministry has concluded the power increase will be incorporated into the next amendment of the General User Radio Licence for Short Range Devices. We expect the GURL will be amended late February.
