Changes to the Management Right used for FM Broadcasting
The existing management right used for FM Broadcasting is to be extended to cover the range 88.4 MHz to 106.63 MHz.
This extension results from a technical re-planning of the FM broadcast band, including recent changes to the licensing arrangements for Low Powered FM (LPFM) broadcasting.
Approved Radio Engineers and rightholders should be aware that these changes will also have an effect on the content of documents to the Registrar of Radio Frequencies, but only in cases where the management right number is required to be included on the form. The new management right number for the band is expected to be number 261 (MR 261). The management right documentation has been presented to the Registrar and the changes are expected to take place from Monday, 26 July 2010.
