Policy Documents (Operational)

Also known as POLDOCs. POLDOCs specify the licensing policies for radiocommunication services and often reflect decisions made following public consultation.

Fixed Service

Operational Policy Documents related to the Fixed Service. Fixed services are radio transmissions from a fixed point to another fixed point.

Operational Policy Documents related to the land mobile service. The land mobile service is a mobile service between fixed base stations (often with the use of repeaters) and mobiles or between land mobile stations.

Aeronautical Service

Operational Policy Documents related to the aeronautical service. The aeronautical service is a fixed or mobile service operated for purposes relating to the operation of an aircraft, airport or aerodrome operations.

Maritime Service

Operational Policy Documents related to the maritime service. The maritime service is the operation of radio transmitting equipment for the purpose of communicating with maritime vessels.

Broadcasting Service

Operational Policy Documents related to the broadcasting service. The broadcasting service is the operated for the purpose of delivering television or radio programmes to persons having equipment appropriate for receiving the service.

Satellite Service

Operational Policy Documents related to the satellite service. The satellite service is the operation of transmitting equipment for communications through earth orbiting satellites, for either fixed purposes over long distances as an alternative to a terrestrial network, or for maritime and land mobile services.
