Fiscal implications
- There are no immediate fiscal implications associated with these proposals. Application of the Covec price-setting formulae is designed to approximate the market value of spectrum rights and to achieve a fair financial return to the Crown for the future use of spectrum. Work required to prepare rights for offer under the policy will be covered under existing appropriation for radio spectrum sales under output class D2 Management and Enforcement of The Radiocommunications Act 1989.
