The broadcast frequencies for Freeview|HD^® television channels were changed in nine regions in New Zealand. We made these changes to ensure that we’re using our radio spectrum as efficiently as possible and to release spectrum for new uses.

What will I need to do?

Panel 3 content: These changes will mean that affected viewers will need to tune their televisions or set-top boxes.

The changes do not affect viewers using Sky, Telstra Clear cable, Freeview satellite or those not yet watching digital television – only those using Freeview|HD_®.
