Changes to digital television frequencies affecting Freeview|HD® viewers
The broadcast frequencies for Freeview|HD® television channels are changing in seven regions in New Zealand. We are making these changes to make sure that we’re using our radio spectrum as efficiently as possible and to release spectrum for new uses.
The frequencies in Wellington will be changing on 19 June 2012.

In 2012 Canterbury will also all see changes. For more information, please see our timetable.
These changes will mean that affected viewers will need to tune their televisions or set-top boxes.
The changes do not affect viewers using Sky, Freeview satellite or those not yet watching
digital television – only those using Freeview|HD®.
