6. Next Steps

If the submissions show the industry is in broad agreement with the proposals set out in this paper then a final frequency band arrangements will be prepared. These final frequency band arrangements will also form the basis of a report back to the Minister of Communications and the Minister of Broadcasting.

If significant new issues are identified by the submissions to this paper then these will be addressed before finalising the frequency band arrangements. Further consultation with industry will be undertaken if required.

Once finalised, the frequency band arrangements will be implemented as soon as possible. However the release of the spectrum for higher power SRD may be delayed to accommodate the necessary migration of STL to other bands.
