Auction 11

 
Auction 11 was held on Tuesday 31 March 2009. Dunbar Sloane Limited conducted the auction at its premises in 7 Maginnity Street, Wellington at 3:00 pm.

Licences comprising a Lot commence on 1 July 2009 and expire on 2 April 2011. A Renewal Agreement, that is set out in the Auction Catalogue, is required to be entered into as a condition of settlement, and provides for a further licence for a 20 year period to be granted if the Licence is in continuous ongoing use. There are no restrictions on acquisition by parties holding normal commercial licences.

The lots and the terms and conditions of the auction are described in the Auction Catalogue. The licences are currently recorded in the Register of Radio Frequencies. Some of the licences were in the Planned category and these licences were registered and therefore publicly available by Thursday 5 March 2009. Please note that an error was identified in Clause 5.2 of the Auction Catalogue. This has now been corrected.

Bidders should note that Lot 11FM004 at Sugarloaf (106.5 MHz) has an upper unwanted emission limit that is slightly narrower than normal, in order to comply with the Adjacent Frequency Emission Limit of the Management Rights. Testing has confirmed that modern transmission equipment is able to meet this requirement. Compliance with the requirement is the responsibility of the winning bidder.
