Fees
Radio Spectrum Management collects fees on licences and engineering services to recover the cost of providing these services. The objective is to:
- Continually seek to improve efficiency in the administration of the Act
- Fully recover the costs associated with administering the Act
- Fairly allocate the costs in relation to work undertaken
- Minimise cross-subsidies within and between licence categories
- Manage the memorandum account towards a zero balance.
The licence administration fee is charged annually for current licences.
Approved Radio Engineer (ARE) or Approved Radio Certifier (ARC) fees
Licences engineered by an Approved Radio Engineer (ARE) or Approved Radio Certifier (ARC), will be subject to an Annual Fee only. In addition, the ARE/ARC may charge the licencee for engineering and certification service. This fee should be negotiated between both parties before the application is submitted to RSM.
Payment fees can be made online or manually.
- For more information see How do I pay licence fees.
RSM Engineering fees
Licences engineered by RSM will be subject to an engineering fee to engineer both new licences and existing licences that require re-engineering.
This fee is separate to the Annual Fee payable by all licensees.
Payment of fees can be made online or manually.
