Compliance FAQ

I am a radio product supplier, what do I need to do?

  1. Ensure product operates in accordance with licensing policy in New Zealand – see the Table of Radio Spectrum Usage in New Zealand, the licensing information page, and the Radiocommunications Regulations (General User Radio Licence for Short Range Devices) Notice 2003.
  2. Ensure product complies with an applicable standard
  3. Determine compliance level (see right hand column of the table)
  4. Ensure requirements for the compliance level are met

I am an electrical product supplier, what do I need to do?

  1. Ensure product complies with an applicable standard
  2. Determine compliance level (see points 6, 7 and 8)
  3. Ensure requirements for the compliance level are met
